The business sector – committed to helping young people stay in school

Every year, all year long, many businesses take tangible action to encourage Montréal youth to stay in school.

But for HSD 2019, the business community has come out in force, and we are pleased to highlight several of their accomplishments this year.

Développement économique Saint-Laurent – Partnership with the CSMB

For HSD, Développement économique Saint-Laurent (DESTL) proudly announced on social media that it is building on its partnership with the Commission scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys, along with two actions that businesses can take to support youth success. On December 5, 2018, DESTL took part in a networking cocktail event between the educational and business sectors, aimed at promoting school-business partnerships.

Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal - Operation Back to School

During HSD, the Chamber of Commerce doubled down on the importance of inspiring young people by highlighting the engagement of Operation Back to School’s volunteer speakers, who go out to classrooms to meet with students, as well as the students’ reactions to these experiences. See examples on the CCMM's Twitter feed.
