Expansion of the Policy on Children announced during HSD

“During Hooked on School Days, Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante and the city’s manager of social and community development, youth, and women’s issues on the executive council, Rosannie Filato, announced an increase in the 2018 budget for the Policy on Children – Being born, growing up and thriving in Montréal: From childhood to adolescence. The budget will grow from 1.5 to 2.1 million dollars, an increase that will fund projects to help particularly vulnerable children and families in all boroughs thrive.”

Réseau réussite Montréal was extremely pleased to be at this announcement, made at Bibliothèque Marc-Favreau and attended by students from Félix-Leclerc school, who were on hand for an HSD activity.

We thank the library for its welcome and the students for their astute questions for the mayor.
