Municipal elected officials turn out in force for HSD 2020

In response to an invitation from Réseau réussite Montréal and Concertation Montréal’s mobilization campaign (#LesÉlusPourlaRéussiteÉducative), local elected officials have come out this week to encourage young people and adults in their boroughs and municipalities to stay in school.

Among the activities elected officials took part in were:

Launch of CMTL’s mobilization campaign on January 27 at its Une soirée à l’hôtel de ville event, at which young people were recognized for their efforts and perseverance.

The adoption, by borough or municipal councils, of 24 resolutions (to date) in support of Hooked on School Days as a way to promote the importance of the issue.

Numerous certificates of perseverance handed out by elected officials to young people in their communities. This activity will continue throughout the week.
